July has a way of reminding us to slow down a little—to enjoy warm evenings, time with family and friends, and the simple moments that often become our favorite memories.

No matter what this season looks like for you, we hope you find opportunities to pause, breathe, and take in the beauty that summer brings. If you're caring for someone living with dementia, we also hope you'll remember to extend that same kindness and grace to yourself. Even small moments of rest can make a difference.

As always, we're grateful you're here and thankful to have you as part of our community. We hope this month's newsletter brings you encouragement, helpful information, and a few reasons to smile.

We have some VERY EXCITING news to share……….

We are incredibly grateful to the Kennebunk Savings Bank and the Huntington Common Charitable Foundation for their generous grant, which allows us to continue offering cognitive assessments to qualifying individuals as part of our consultation and intake process.

Conducted by Susan Raychard, MOT/RL and Certified Dementia Practitioner, these assessments have become an invaluable resource for the families we serve. They provide meaningful insight into an individual's cognitive functioning, helping caregivers better understand their loved one's strengths, challenges, and support needs while allowing our team to offer more personalized recommendations and connect families with the right resources earlier in their journey.

Thanks to the generosity of the Kennebunk Savings Bank and the Huntington Common Charitable Foundation, this service remains available at no cost to qualifying individuals. Their partnership is helping more families receive compassionate, individualized support when it matters most, and we are deeply grateful for their continued commitment to our community.

We're honored to share that we have been selected as the featured nonprofit for Congdon's Tithing Tuesday on August 18!

At Congdon's, community is at the heart of everything they do. Through their Tithing Tuesdays initiative, they partner with local nonprofits that are making a meaningful difference throughout Maine, with a special focus on York County. By bringing people together over great food while giving back to organizations serving the community, they're creating a lasting impact.
