Before the birth of A Place To Start, Diana had worked in sales for over 20 years.  After leaving sales, she owned and operated a cafe in the Lafayette Center in Downtown Kennebunk for 10 years.  Shortly after selling the cafe, she met Sally through a mutual friend.  At that point, Sally's mom, Connie, was battling Alzheimer's and Sally asked Diana if she would be interested in being a companion for her mom. The rest is history and soon a new support system was blossoming.  Diana loved her time with Connie and loved working with the dementia community.  When Connie passed away, Diana joined Sally in the creation of A Place To Start.  For the last 10 years, she, along with Sally, has been and will continue to be dedicated to providing support for family caregivers who are caring for a loved one with Alzheimer's.
